Brother P-touch wasting tape?

Choose your model and print-session stage for a concise tape-saving checklist. The first leader is unavoidable. This tool does not control your printer.

Choose a supported model.

No label text, uploads, analytics, printer connection or saved input. Instructions cover only the selected models and normal text labels; check your tape and device manual. Independent tool, not affiliated with Brother.

What can reduce wasted tape?

The first leader cannot be eliminated. For one normal text label, PT-E110 uses Narrow margins; PT-D610BT uses Small Margin. For a series of different labels, use the model-specific chain mode and finish the series using the correct feed command.

Do both models finish a chain the same way?

No. On PT-E110, OK at the visible Feed OK? prompt feeds the tape; Shift + Preview is the alternative if the prompt was dismissed. Then use the cutter lever. Do not perform both feed commands as mandatory steps. PT-D610BT uses Shift + Feed to feed and cut after the final label.

Which labels are covered?

Only ordinary laminated tape, normal text labels and the printer keypad on PT-E110 or PT-D610BT. App printing, special tapes, cable modes and identical-copy runs need their own instructions. This guide does not estimate numerical savings.
